We are predominantly in demand for Cold Stores from customers in Food Processing and in Health, Pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences.
We provide bespoke cold room solutions to clients in the catering and hospitality sectors, fish and seafood industry, meat, bakery and dairy business as well as logistics for companies such as Albert Bartletts, Drysdales, Spey Valley Smokehouse and DFDS Logistics.
The Scottish Centre for Virus Research at Glasgow University, SAFC and the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency are among our clients in the Life Science and Pharmaceuticals sectors.
Just recently, we have been awarded a contract to work with Bouygues Energies for GSK at their new state-of-the-art biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility at Ulverston on a cold store warehouse. ACE Refrigeration will be responsible for the design and build of the new cold store to be constructed on a ¾ acre plot, which will be used to store 1400 pallets of products within temperature range of +2C to +8C.
The new South Glasgow University Hospital Campus, cutting an impressive figure across the city skyline, opened its doors to patients at the end of April 2015. In 2012, we were responsible for the design, supply and installation of a series of temperature controlled laboratory rooms. With exacting standards to be met, the rooms included 1 x -40°C room, 10 x +4°C Rooms, 3 x -20°C rooms and 2 x +37°C; all supplied, installed, calibrated and commissioned according to NHS Blood storage standards.
We were also previously responsible for the state of the art Cook Freeze Production Unit at the IRH & RAH for NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. The cold room refrigeration equipment used here was custom-manufactured to suit the facilities exact requirements. With three specially manufactured compressor packs servicing all the cold rooms, the design ensures the maximum possible reduction on power usage. This reduced consumption was achieved using inverter controlled packs, utilising proportional control logic; where output adapts to meet demand perfectly and therefore operates far more efficiently.
